It is ideal for all workplace representatives. It is organised in an active way that gives us all an opportunity to have a say as well as listen to others.

A large part of the course is based on practice negotiating sessions giving you practical experience of negotiating situations. The scenarios and negotiating situations used in the course are designed to be as close to reality as possible.

The purpose of the course is to update reps on new developments both in UNISON and in the law. In some cases participants will be signposted to further training, for example in the Public Sector Equality Duties or to develop new skills such as in mentoring.
