30th November: The day of action : what happened
On the ground, it was clear that the day was a massive success, with the wider community under no doubt as to how widely the public sector touches their lives. The point was clearly made. Workers within the public sector - who do such valuable work within the wider community - are not prepared to be walked over, and just watch their pensions be eroded by the goverments, as if by a whim. You can be assured that UNISON will be doing everyhing it can to be speaking and working on your behalf to retain the pensions we have been promised, and which we deserve.
Bridgend UNISON Branch was very well supported at the march and rally in Cardiff in the afternoon.
