February 19th 2011 - Marching & Rally in support of RCT

poster for the rally 19 feb 2011

Wales against the cuts

There was a clear statement of support from across the unions for the march in Pontypridd on 19 February 2011, as hundreds took to the street to make clear their opposition to the forthcoming cuts in public service expenditure - and the effect this will have on the livelihoods of members, and others in our communities.

The march was followed by a rally at the Muni Arts Centre, and videos of the speeches made at the rally can be found at the following locations:

Check out this quick link to what Peter Crews of RCT said to the rally (Youtube -please be aware you won't be able to watch this on a BCBC computer).

And Mick Antoniw, Labour AM Candidate for Pontypridd

And Dominic Macaskill, Regional Head of Local Government, UNISON Cymru/Wales

And Dominic McFadden, of PCS National Executive.
